The Chapter meets typically on the first Saturday of every month starting at 2:00pm at the CWA 3805 building located at 1415 Elm St (between Baxter & Oldham Ave, off 275). Are you interested in fighting outsourcing, standing up for programming, and helping get everyone at UT up to a living wage? Then come to a meeting to share your ideas!

We have grown to encompass over 50 Pellissippi State staff and faculty from a variety of departments. Look for us each year at the Benefits Fair!

UTC-UCW is getting organized again and moving forward on a diverse agenda to advance the justice needs of faculty and staff in higher education. We are active in the continued resistance the outsourcing of custodial jobs, fighting for fair wages, increasing adjunct pay, improving gender equity, and getting involved in labor issues relevant to our Chattanooga area members. Meetings are the third Saturday of the month (subject to change).

Chattanooga state Community college

Welcome to the Chattanooga State Community College chapter of UCW-CWA! At CSCC, we are working to create positive change for all staff and faculty on campus. We are slowly but surely building our membership and uniting faculty and staff from all different departments on campus! Our goal is to ensure that the many workers who keep our campus running on a daily basis have their voice heard!

Currently, we are in the early stages of launching a living wage campaign. Every campus worker deserves to make a wage that allows them to not only make ends meet, but to also live a comfortable, quality life. We are currently using a Living Wage Survey to assess the experiences and working conditions of employees making less than living wage on campus. If you are interested in joining the union and our campaign, please reach out to us or come to our monthly meeting!

There is a dynamic group of faculty and staff members growing the union at ETSU. They have waged a successful campaign to defeat custodial outsourcing, stood up about the need for a living wage and how far behind ETSU is in providing that, the need to remove the cap on adjunct pay and give them a real raise, the need for full-time faculty lines, and encouraging President Noland to opt out of the Governor's statewide facilities outsourcing contract (custodial, maintenance, and grounds), a contract in which he has gone on public record repeatedly saying that he is not interested in participating, for any current state employees.
